What is the better Running gps/ heart rate watch? Polar or garmin?

having a hard time deciding which one to get, looking mainly at the garmin forerunner 310xt and the polar rs800cx. are both of these products top of the line? which one is better, or are there other good choices out there? thanks for the input!

Garmin products are known for accuracy and reliability. if everything else is equal as far as the features I was looking for, I would choose the Garmin unit.

I have Garmin c330 for that price its a great GPS, I paid mine $170.. so far no problems with it..

The MIO C330 is the hottest GPS system out there other than the Navigon. I work for radio shack and here's some info on it. the MIO was first being used in Great Britain. It was tested over seas and all the bugs were worked out of prior to coming the US. MIO has a a built in MP3 player, you can switch the screen mode from night view to day view, it has a lot of POI's and the screen is ultra thin. the only downfall to this GPS is the Text to Speech meaning that it won't tell you what street you're going to turn on, it will just tell you either to make a left or right and in how many yards. but all in all, the MIO is by far one of the best GPS systems released in the US.

First let me say, I love this unit and thinking of buying a second one for my truck. My question is when I enter an address, I always associate a name with it, but when selecting a destination I can only view the addresses and not the names. can someone tell me if its possible to view the location names saved with addresses?

Garmin GPSMAP 60CSx OR Garmin eTrex Vista HCx ?

I know their features, but would like to hear a comparison of performance from anyone who has used one or, preferably, both. in particular, issues about wandering while stationary / moving slowly, reception under cover / indoors, click-stick versus rocker-pad, and SIRFstar III versus Mediatek chipsets. Thanks for your help!

I have a 60CSx and I absolutely love it. It's a little bigger than the HCx but in comparison with my buddy's unit I find they track about the same and stay the same under trees (they get a fix in pretty bad conditions)

The form factor is the big one and the antenna design may work for your choice of use.

Both take microSD cards – buy a 1GB and you can store half the country on it.

I prefer the Garmin GPSMAP 60CSX. The chipset is really great.it scrolls great and is faster. The reception is great under almost any canopy. it is quickly becoming the choice for Geocaching.

Want to know how to show POI icons on map screen

The good: the Garmin Nuvi 660 offers an accurate GPS receiver, text-to-speech functionality, and traffic capabilities. the versatile system also features a gorgeous display, integrated Bluetooth, travel tools, and multimedia functions.

The bad: the device is expensive, and there are no external volume controls. the system also doesn't support multidestination route creation.

The bottom line: If you can afford the hefty price tag, the Garmin Nuvi 660 is a solid-performing and versatile GPS device that offers all the navigation basics, tools for the world traveler, Blue tooth, and more

I have to say that it’s the best GPS I have ever used. It has all of the features that make a GPS worth loving, and with its super bright widescreen, it really stands out in the sun. the slim form factor, at less than an inch thick, is great. For those who are familiar with the Garmin interface, this won’t be a huge departure from what you are used to, simplicity and ease of use reign. the integrated traffic TMC traffic receiver is a welcome addition that allows you to be aware of all the traffic issues that you can now avoid with your smart Nuvi 660 doing the navigating.

I asked the same question to some Garmin guys and they said this is the
way it is . the POI's will only show up if you go to : Where to – Food,Lodging – Spell Name – done : all your local POI's will show up . or go to another subject and the POI will show up when you show map .
Seems strange to me why they don"t show up while driving like other brand GPS's .
