Garmin is $130 (refurbished)
http://reviews.cnet.com/car-gps-navigati…
and the
Mio is $170 (new, $180ish + tax)
http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.…
Any ideas on which I should get? thanks.
I have Garmin c330 for that price its a great GPS, I paid mine $170.. so far no problems with it..
The MIO C330 is the hottest GPS system out there other than the Navigon. I work for radio shack and here's some info on it. the MIO was first being used in Great Britain. It was tested over seas and all the bugs were worked out of prior to coming the US. MIO has a a built in MP3 player, you can switch the screen mode from night view to day view, it has a lot of POI's and the screen is ultra thin. the only downfall to this GPS is the Text to Speech meaning that it won't tell you what street you're going to turn on, it will just tell you either to make a left or right and in how many yards. but all in all, the MIO is by far one of the best GPS systems released in the US.
Garmin StreetPilot c330 or Mio DigiWalker C320?

MapQuest was the place to go to print out directions before everyone had Garmin,Tom Tom…etc. and all these new brands of mobile GPS systems. why didn't MapQuest come out with a portable gps like these other later brands when MapQuest was really "the" place to get directions from to start out with.
They could have made a ton of money on something like this .
Why hasn't MapQuest come out with their own mobile GPS system for vehicles?

TomTom seems to have better graphics, yet the Garmin's POI bottons on the first screen are most helpful. Which would you choose?
Garmin is a best gps system and popular gps, Garmin has a simple controls – simply touch the color screen to enter a destination, has a turn-by-turn voice directions, 2-D or 3-D maps and more feature.

I will be honest with you. The technology changes so often on this stuff. I would get the cheaper one for now. in a year, it will be so advanced and price will come down that the one you buy will be obsolete.
I see this with cell phone all the time.
TomTom, because Garmin has that extremely irritating advert on the radio. "give it give it give it Garmin!". Um, no I won't.
For the features and price..I would go for the Tom Tom..!!! good graphics, perfectly suitable, similar features..
Of the two, I prefer the Garmin, but it really depends on the model.
What GPS system would you choose? Garmin or TomTom?

I’m looking to buy a good priced GPS system that will list all the attractions (like museums, beaches, things like Mount Rushmore, ect.). Is there one around like that in the price range of 0 and from Garmin? If not, is there one like that from Tom Tom or another brand?
