garmin nuvi 700 How do I delete factory installed maps from Garmin Nuvi 660?

I recently purchased what I thought was the 2010 Map Upgrade from Garmin. Apparently what I bought was not the upgrade but a full version. The problem is I don't know how to overwrite the installed Maps (2008 North American) with the new maps. What I'm trying to accomplish is to simply erase the 2008 maps and install the 2010 full version. does anyone know how to do this?

I have two 340c’s (myself and my wife)… my brother has two 340c’s (HVAC business)… my daughter has a 340c, and my son has a 330c…

all of our maps are probably circa 2008… I understand I cannot delete the map files that come with the units, and that I would need an SD card for new maps…

my brother really needs to have updated maps for his business… he would kind of like traffic capabilities as well… the rest of us hardly use our Garmins except on trips…

I’m seeing the Garmin Nuvi 265W/WT for $80 to $100… I’ve also seen good prices on the Nuvi 295W as well… should I even bother trying to upgrade the old 340c’s, or just look for something new…?

if I was to get an SD card/s for the old units, how much capacity does the SD card need to have for the maps…?

is it correct that I can’t purchase one map update and install it on all of the units in our family…?

if we were to look into new units, what are some suggestions…? we do like the Garmins, but we have to go ‘cheap’ as well (sorry to say)… I like the WiFi capability on some new models, though I don’t know if my brother is geeky enough to put that feature to use…

I realize that this thread starter is kind of ‘all over the place’, but I would really appreciate some direction… in my family, it’s kind of up to me to make these decisions…

I heard that updates cost close to 0. Is that correct?
